What is TSSC?

Toyota established the Toyota Supplier Support Center (TSSC) in 1992 to share its know-how (TPS) with organizations and manufacturing companies across North America (mainly  Toyota-related suppliers and non-automotive manufacturing).

After 10 years of successfully sharing TPS, TSSC, Inc. was established in 2002 to continue to work with companies across North America that have a strong desire to learn TPS. 

We are a resource for any company interested in adopting TPS as a way to strengthen the quality and efficiency of their production system.

To date, We have worked with more than 140 companies with a variety of products and processes in many different industries/areas.  We are committed to:

1. Continuing to work with those who desire to learn the philosophy of TPS

2. Developing and advancing the understanding of TPS

 As of January 2009, our name has changed to "Toyota Production System Support Center" to better reflect our mission.

What is the Toyota Production System (TPS)?

The Toyota Production System (TPS) is the manufacturing philosophy and the core of Toyota's competency.  

It is based on four principles:

• Customer First
• People are the most valuable resource
• Kaizen (continuous improvement)
• Shop Floor Focus
